Build an Army The barracks is the tycoon

Damage first, then bodies, then later stock — not a cloned 15-row dollar board.

Barracks Guide

The barracks is the heart of Build an Army. LiveForFun did not hide the tycoon behind a second map or a crafting bench. You recruit from this shop, you upgrade troops here, and you come back after every paying march. If the barracks is going badly, the lane is going badly. If the lane is going badly, you will blame “the meta” when the shop spend was the actual leak.

This guide is spend order and shop behavior. It is not a counterfeit catalog. For the send itself, read How to Play. For the first buy, read Getting Started. For how new rows appear, read How to Unlock Units.

What the barracks actually sells

Public facts we will stand on:

  • You build the army using units from the barracks.
  • The starter you can document is an infantry soldier.
  • Damage upgrades are the main early investment.
  • Rare and legendary units with unique abilities exist as official rarity bands.
  • Enemy sergeants are an early threat, not a shop mascot.

That is the catalog, on purpose. A 15-row table with dollar prices and names lifted from Make a Army, Build ur Army, or Command an Army would be fanfiction. When a row appears in your shop, believe that row. Rank opinions go on the Tier List. Role language goes on Players.

Spend order that does not feed sergeants

First cash: starter infantry, placed, so you have a line to Deploy.

Second cash: damage. Early sergeants melt weak infantry. Widening a weak line makes a wider smear. Footage of early play keeps pointing at damage as the spend that changes the first contact.

Third cash: more infantry that can use the damage you already bought. Bodies now mean something.

Later cash: whatever new stock the barracks is honestly showing because you marched farther. Unique abilities on rare and legendary units are the late shop, not the tutorial.

If you reverse that order — legendary-hunting on a broke account, or five extra default soldiers with zero damage — you will write a reddit comment about the game being unfair. The sergeant is doing the job the shop told you to prepare for.

Buying is not placing is not Deploy

Three different clicks. Buy in the barracks UI. Place the troop into the army. Deploy the army down the lane. Skip any one of those and the shop “did nothing.”

Undeploy is how you get a living line back to the shop without waiting for a wipe. Use it when you have cash and a new row, or when you can see the next ambush will delete a still-expensive lineup. Button honesty lives on Controls.

How the shop opens up

The barracks is gated by the lane. Distance and combat pay; that cash clicks the next row. A volcano-looking region is a later landmark on the march, which is another way of saying “your shop at spawn is not the whole game.” Push, then look at the barracks again.

Offline time does not unlock shop rows by itself. It continues a deployed army. If that army is dead, the shop will look the same when you return. Offline Earnings and How to Earn Money are the money half of this sentence.

Codes will not stock the barracks as of September 2026. No widely confirmed public codes exist for this LiveForFun title. Do not paste Build ur Army strings into a UI that may not even exist. See Codes.

Gamepasses are not shop rows

Nuke! is a 7,214 Robux OP gamepass. It is a store product, not a barracks unit we will list as “the best troop.” If you buy it, you bought an OP button. You did not complete the infantry-to-legendary progression.

Sprint Permanent is offsale. It will not appear as a barracks upgrade. Avatar speed is not army damage.

Four-player servers do not share barracks inventory. The commander next to you can be looking at different unlocked rows because they marched farther. That is the tycoon, not a bug.

How this shop differs from clone games

Other Roblox army titles sell capture points, world-war eras, gacha banners, or grid-drop loot chests. This barracks is a lane-march tycoon counter. Treat it that way and the spend order stays obvious: make the current line hit harder, then make it bigger, then buy the rare stock the lane actually revealed.

If a YouTube thumbnail shows 15 named units with prices, check which game is in the URL. If it is not place 76904351006435, it does not belong on this page.

Patch requests for new barracks stock go on the LiveForFun group wall. When they ship, Updates will record them. Until a name is public, this wiki will not assign one.

Client tools that “buy any unit remotely” are Scripts, not a spend-order shortcut we recommend.

Treat the barracks as the tycoon and the lane as the receipt. If the receipt is a wipe, the shop spend was wrong — usually damage skipped, not “the game hid a secret unit behind Nuke!”.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What should I buy in the barracks first?

Starter infantry, then damage upgrades, then more bodies. Early sergeants punish the opposite order. The first session is in Getting Started.

Why is there no full price list on this page?

A fake 15-row dollar shop would be copied from other army games. We document spend order and rarity bands instead. Ranks go on the Tier List.

Do rare and legendary units appear in the barracks?

Yes, as you push farther and can pay. Official copy promises unique abilities. Unlock timing is in How to Unlock Units.

I bought a unit and it did not march. What did I miss?

Place it, then Deploy. Buying is only the shop click. Controls are on Controls; the send is in How to Play.

Can I use codes or Nuke! to skip the shop?

No confirmed codes as of September 2026. Nuke! is a 7,214 Robux OP pass, not a barracks row. Money is explained in How to Earn Money.

Does the barracks keep working while I am offline?

The army can keep fighting if it is alive and deployed. The shop does not shop itself. See Offline Earnings.
